Endodontic emergencies account for 60-82% of all dental emergencies. This course will discuss how to treat endodontic emergencies quickly to effectively manage pain and infections. Techniques discussed will include how to minimize the development of persistent pain and the formation of periapical pathology.
Learning objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Perform various techniques to provide significant pain relief of a sufficient duration until definitive treatment can be delivered.
- Manage cases in a way that prevents the development of persistent pain and periapical pathosis.
- Manage endodontic infections so as to prevent systemic involvement.
- Evaluate teeth to determine the overall survivability.
